# Ask Francisco — Ecowoods renovation intelligence

> A renovation decision workspace, not a general chatbot. It reasons about the whole home,
> retrieves canonical Ecowoods information — published pricing, service scope, evidence — and
> hands a conversation off to the real Ecowoods systems (Floor Studio, Quote Check, the estimate
> and quote path) at the point where a decision becomes an action.

Ecowoods Hardwood Flooring Inc. is a hardwood flooring contractor in Toronto & the GTA, established 2000. It installs, sands, refinishes and restores solid and engineered hardwood floors and stairs, with salaried crews.

"I'm Francisco. Tell me about this house — what you want done, and what actually moves value."

## What Ecowoods executes

Published services only. If it is not in this list, Ecowoods does not perform the work:

- **Hardwood Flooring Installation** — Solid and engineered hardwood laid by salaried craftsmen — straight-lay, herringbone, chevron and custom patterns.
- **Hardwood Floor Refinishing** — Bring tired floors back to life: sand to bare wood, re-stain and re-finish for a factory-fresh surface.
- **Dust-Free Floor Sanding** — HEPA-sealed extraction at the machine and containment at the room, so most clients stay home during the work.
- **Hardwood Floor Restoration** — Rescue and repair heritage and water-damaged floors — board replacement, feathering and colour matching.
- **Custom Inlays & Borders** — Bespoke feature strips, medallions and borders routed and fitted by hand for a signature look.
- **Stair Refinishing** — Treads, risers and nosings refinished to match your floors for a seamless, hard-wearing finish.

Published bands: [Pricing](https://ecowoods.ca/pricing) (https://ecowoods.ca/pricing.md) — $2.50–$4.00 per sq ft to
refinish, $4.75–$7.50 per sq ft for a full sand and finish, $11.00–$18.00 per sq ft for a
new installation. Fixed price in writing. It never moves after the free in-home estimate.

Ask Francisco calls the same pricing function the site's own configurator and
estimate form call — never a second number for the same question.

## What it advises on without executing

A homeowner asking about a whole-home renovation is not asking only about floors.
Ask Francisco can reason about sequencing and tradeoffs involving other trades —
Kitchen, Roof, Pool, Windows, HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Bathroom, Siding, Foundation, Addition, Landscaping, and general construction — using sourced market context where a licensed
adapter for it exists, and saying plainly when one does not. It never claims Ecowoods installs
any of them. That boundary is enforced in code, not just in copy: the tools available to the
model can attach flooring/stair facts to a project and propose a measure, estimate or quote —
there is no tool that books work in another trade.

## What it can calculate

- Published installed-cost ranges for hardwood/stair work, from the same function as the
  configurator and the estimate form.
- A visual configuration of a real, buyable floor rendered into a room, via Floor Studio.
- A structured Renovation Decision Analysis (a paid, credit-metered artifact) — project facts,
evidence, options, sequence and open questions, computed by a deterministic engine, never a
free-text model guess dressed up as a report.

## What it cannot know

It never fabricates:

- exact measurements from a description or a photograph
- property facts, appraisals or a specific house’s value
- a contractor quote, or the content of one it has not been shown
- return-on-investment or a guaranteed resale outcome
- certifications, availability or scheduling it has not been given
- market data for a trade with no licensed adapter — it says so instead of guessing

## Service area

100 published municipalities across Toronto & the GTA and the GTA —
see [service areas](https://ecowoods.ca/service-areas) (https://ecowoods.ca/service-areas.md) for the current, canonical list.
This number is generated from the same geography registry every other surface on this site
reads; it is never typed separately here.

## How it persists across the site

A visit is identified by a Design ID — an opaque join key, never a person or a device — minted
the moment a project takes shape and carried into Floor Studio, a saved analysis, and a
submitted measure/estimate/quote request, so a homeowner is never asked to re-describe a
project they already started.
