# Glue-down

**Bonding flooring directly to the substrate with adhesive — correct for engineered flooring over concrete, and in condominiums.**

Glue-down is the method where fasteners cannot be used and full contact with the substrate is wanted. It is the standard for engineered flooring over a concrete slab.

It depends heavily on substrate flatness and on slab moisture, both of which must be assessed before the price is fixed rather than discovered afterwards.
